‘He stands no chance’ – Jake Paul urged not to fight Alex Pereira after terrifying amateur boxing footage emerges
The footage shows Pereira knocking Paul down three times in the first round
Jake Paul has been urged not to fight Alex Pereira after footage of the Brazilian knocking Paul down three times in the first round of an amateur boxing match emerged online.
The footage, which was filmed in 2018, shows Paul being dropped by a left hook, a right hook and a body shot within the first minute of the fight.
‘He’s a different beast now’
“Jake Paul has no chance against Alex Pereira,” said former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
“Pereira is a different beast now than he was when he fought Paul in 2018. He’s a much better boxer, he’s more powerful and he’s more experienced."
“I don’t think Paul has any chance of beating him.”
‘Paul would be making a huge mistake’
Paul’s coach, BJ Flores, also believes that his fighter would be making a mistake if he fought Pereira.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea for Jake to fight Alex Pereira,” said Flores.
“Pereira is a very dangerous fighter and I don’t think Jake is ready for him yet.”
“I think Jake would be making a huge mistake if he fought Pereira right now.”
‘He’s not ready for this fight’
Paul has not yet responded to the footage of his fight with Pereira, but it is clear that he is facing an uphill battle if he decides to fight the Brazilian.
“He’s not ready for this fight,” said UFC president Dana White.
“Pereira is a world-class fighter and Paul is not. It would be a mismatch.”
