Same-Store Sales Increase 9%, Company Projects Strong Future

In a major boost for the healthy fast-food chain, Sweetgreen has announced a 9% increase in same-store sales for the second quarter of 2024, the highest in two years. This surge is driven by the success of its innovative "grass" dish, which has become a popular menu item.

Due to the strong performance, Sweetgreen has revised its same-store sales growth projections upward to 6%, up from previous estimates. The company also anticipates full-year revenue between $655 million and $670 million.

This growth follows a 5% increase in same-store sales in the first quarter, largely attributed to menu price increases. Sweetgreen is planning to continue its expansion, with plans to automate all new restaurants within the next five years.
